About Far Cry New Dawn
Far Cry New Dawn is a standalone sequel to Far Cry 5, thrusting players into a vibrant, yet treacherous post-apocalyptic Hope County, Montana, 17 years after the nuclear 'Collapse'. Players embody the 'Captain of Security,' aiding survivors in establishing and fortifying their home base, Prosperity. The core gameplay loop involves scavenging essential resources like Ethanol (for base upgrades), components, and duct tape to craft and upgrade a tiered arsenal of makeshift weapons and vehicles. The primary antagonists are the ruthless Highwaymen, a faction of violent scavengers led by the twin sisters Mickey and Lou, who seek to control all resources. Players must liberate Outposts from Highwaymen control, undertake dangerous Expeditions to new, resource-rich locations across a fractured USA, and rally allies to push back the tyrannical threat and bring hope back to the wasteland.
