In true Kojima fashion, PHYSINT eschews traditional run-and-gun multiplayer in favor of high-tension tactical engagements. The core multiplayer offering is 'Ghost Network,' an asynchronous espionage mode reminiscent of Metal Gear Solid V's FOB mechanics and Death Stranding's social strand system. Players can reinforce their safehouse facilities, deploy defensive traps and security drones, and attempt to infiltrate the digital networks and safehouses of other operatives worldwide. A dedicated 4v4 tactical stealth PvP mode featuring asymmetric objectives (Infiltrators vs. Base Defenders) is also under active evaluation.

A standalone multiplayer game set in the Cyberpunk universe was once in development but was later canceled. Cyberpunk 2077 itself is a single-player experience with no multiplayer modes.
