This proposed mode was intended to operate similarly to massive live-service titles, offering cooperative heists and competitive gang warfare. However, following the highly turbulent launch of the base game and the urgent necessity to reallocate all available engineering talent toward profound technical remediation, the multiplayer project was officially cancelled. Consequently, there are absolutely no cooperative, competitive, or synchronous online multiplayer modes within the final architecture of Cyberpunk 2077 or the Phantom Liberty expansion. The studio has deliberately chosen to maintain the franchise's identity as a premier, immersive solitary experience.
