📖 About The Alters

The Alters is a narrative-driven sci-fi survival game that explores the profound impact of life-altering choices. Players step into the shoes of Jan Dolski, a simple worker who crash-lands on a desolate planet and is the sole survivor. To operate his massive, wheeled mobile base and escape the planet before it's scorched by a rising sun, Jan must use a mysterious substance called Rapidium to create alternate versions of himself—the Alters. Each Alter is born from a different path Jan could have taken in his life, possessing unique skills, memories, and personalities. The core gameplay revolves around managing the ever-expanding base, exploring the hazardous planet for resources, and navigating the complex, often conflicting relationships between the different Jans, all while grappling with the existential question: 'What if?'
