Horizon Zero Dawn is an action role-playing game set in a lush, post-apocalyptic 31st century where colossal robotic creatures dominate a world reclaimed by nature, and humanity has regressed into tribal societies. Players take on the role of Aloy, a skilled hunter and archer, cast out from her Nora tribe at birth. Aloy embarks on a perilous quest to uncover the mysteries of her origins, the fate of the ancient 'Old Ones' (precursor human civilization), the truth behind the machine's existence, and the cataclysm that reshaped the world. Armed with her wits, a versatile spear, advanced bows, and the Focus (an augmented reality device), Aloy must hunt formidable machines, navigate breathtaking landscapes, and unravel a compelling story involving ancient conspiracies and the fight for humanity's future. The Complete Edition includes the base game and 'The Frozen Wilds' expansion. A Remastered Edition for PS5 and PC was released in October 2024.
