The multiplayer component has received ongoing support through seasonal content updates, including new maps, modes, weapons, armor customization, battle passes, and limited-time events. Campaign co-op (up to 4 players online) and Forge mode (map editor) were added in major post-launch updates. No major paid story expansions for the campaign have been released as of mid-2024, but 343i has mentioned future 'story drops'. The game will follow a phased release model. After the initial Early Access launch with the 'ETERNAL' sandbox mode, the five chapters of the 'REVELATIONS' story campaign will be released cyclically. The developer also plans to add vehicles and expand the world map.
